This position is supervised by the Chief Financial Officer. This position supervises personnel as assigned. The position may require periodic participation in peer review and quality activities.

Position Summary

The SAFE House Manager is responsible for coordinating and providing services to the DV residents.This position also over sees the programing and staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

Adhere to personnel policies and comply with agency requirements for ethical and professional behavior.

Coordinate and monitor patient care with clinical team and site personnel.

Protects patient confidentiality and personal rights.

Provides and arranges for immediate intervention services (i.e., PHF, psychiatrist, medications, etc.).

Provides patient transportation as needed.

Provides individual support and advocacy to residents.

Conducts comprehensive case management assessment of resident's needs.

Develops and maintains professional relationships and referrals with community agencies, social services, schools, police, hospitals, courts, state agencies, etc.

Completes and submits all required paperwork in a timely manner.

Supervises assigned staff.

This position requires positive and active support of the company, the customer and the co-worker.

Must participate in quality management and quality improvement activities.

Must participate as a member of the clinical team as identified.

Promotes quality and safety to help maintain a safe and pleasant work environment, follows safety regulations, and actively contributes towards a safe workplace.

Performs other duties as assigned by the CFO or CEO

This position may participate in an on-call rotation covering the DV house and group home.

Participate in state and local DV coalitions.

Primary Contacts

Frequent interaction with residents and potential supports

Frequent interaction with community and state agencies (i.e., social services, schools, police, hospitals, courts, Department of Economic Security/Rehabilitation Services Administration, etc.).

Collaboration, as appropriate, with other community resources/referral agencies.

Position Requisites

Qualifications and Experience

Required:

High School degree with experience helping victims of domestic violence

Current Arizona Driver's License.

CPR and First Aid certification.

Knowledge and ability to define the needs of the resident served.

Comply with a Drug Free workplace.

Fingerprint Clearance.

For Those Working With SMI:

Knowledge of symptoms related to qualifying diagnosis.

Ability to identify and communicate signs of regression and

deterioration.

Knowledge of interventions to foster self care and ADL skill development.

For Those Working with Children/Adolescent:

Knowledge and training in development stages and interface of development with childhood disorders.

Knowledge of Behavior Management and ability to develop age-appropriate interventions.

Able to communicate at an age-appropriate level.

For Those Working with Substance Abuse:

Ability to identify signs and symptoms of Substance Abuse and Chemical Dependency.

Knowledge of range of treatment for dependence including relapse, prevention, strategies and self-help groups.

Able to provide a diagnostic impression per DSM IV criteria for Substance Abuse and Chemical Dependency.

Knowledge of history of substance dependence and of the biopsychosocial influences and effects of dependencies.

For Those Working With DD:

Knowledge of symptoms related to qualifying diagnosis.

Ability to identify and communicate signs of regression and deterioration.

Knowledge of Article 9 (customer rights) of State requirements.

Knowledge of Customer Intervention Techniques relative to self care and ADL skills.

Skills/Abilities

Required:

Fluent in English both verbally and in writing.

Literate.

Able to effectively employ analytical and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of behavioral management technique interventions.

Preferred:

Knowledge of resources available in this community.

Ability to meet deadlines for project completion.

Ability to organize, supervise, and schedule work to maintain efficient workflow.

Ability to work forty (40) hours per week.

Able to sit for extended periods of time, less frequently, mobile, lifting and reaching.

Able to communicate in an acceptable manner.

Able to understand and complete documents.

Emotional Capabilities

Able to work with customers who are emotionally distressed, in crisis.

Able to work with customers who have been abused or perpetrated abuse.

Able to work with customers who abuse substances.

Equipment Operation

Able to operate general office equipment.

Able to operate company vehicle.

Environmental Conditions

Air conditioned and/or heated office setting or customer=s home.
