  JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: STAFF ACCOUNTANT

STATUS:  NON-EXEMPT

LINES OF AUTHORITY: This position is supervised by the CFO.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial data and financial services of ChangePoint including but not limited to maintenance of all computerized and manual financial records and preparation of financial analyses and reports as required by the CFO.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.  Adhere to personnel policy and comply with agency requirements for ethical

  and professional behavior.

  2.  Provide financial data and reporting assistance to the CFO.

  3.  Assist in the maintenance of a computerized financial system.

  4.  Prepare financial reports for the CEO, Board, HCIC, and funding bodies

   on a timely basis.

  5.  Assist in budget preparation as requested.

  6.  Assist with maintaining a balanced General Ledger.

  7.  Assist in the preparation of cost allocation reports.

  8.  Prepare month end financial statements.

  9.  Prepare month end cost center statements.

  10.  Prepare required financial/tax reports for outside agencies.

  11. Assist with Financial audits.

  12.  Prepare monthly reports for management and financial reports used in cost allocation. 

13.  Cross train and serve as backup for accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll job duties as directed.

14.  Provide financial data for required audits, RFP's and surveys.

15. Maintain job aspects that may include, but not limited to payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable.

16. Work Independently as well as with a team.

17. Data Entry.

18. Balance and Maintain accounts.

19.  Provide reports required by external auditors.

20.  Promote Cultural Competence.

21.  This position requires positive and active support of the company, the

23.  Must participate in quality management and quality improvement activities.

24.  Perform other duties as may be required by the CFO.

PRIMARY CONTACTS:

Frequent interaction with personnel.

Interface regularly with other management team members.

Interface with vendors.

POSITION REQUISITES:

 Qualifications And Experience

  Required:

  • Associates Degree and/or Certificate of Proficiency in Accounting with 2 years of accounting experience or a

  • High School Diploma/GED AND 6 years of accounting experience.

  • Current Arizona Driver's License. 

  • Comply with a Drug Free workplace.

  • Fingerprint Clearance.

  Preferred:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting.

  • Ability to effectively supervise personnel.

  • Able to effectively employ analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work forty (40) hours per week.

  • Ability to develop reports.

  • Fluent in English both verbally and in writing.

  • Literate.

  • Able to travel.

  Preferred:

  • Proficient knowledge of computer software programs.

  • Proficient in Excel Advanced Excel preferred.

 Physical Requirements

  Able to sit and stand for extended periods of time, less frequently,

  walking, lifting and reaching.

  Able to hear ordinary conversation and phone communications.

  Visual capacity necessary to fulfill documentation, responsibilities of job.

Able to operate general office equipment.

Able to operate Company vehicles.

 Environmental Conditions

Air conditioned and/or heated office setting.
