JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: FACILTIES TECHNICIAN

STATUS: NON-EXEMPT

LINES OF AUTHORITY: This position is supervised by the Holbrook /OP Program Director, and works in cooperation with the CEO, and the Operations Manager.

POSITION SUMMARY: Under direct supervision, performs facilities management duties related to janitorial, and maintenance, at Holbrook Outpatient, New Horizons and other sites as assigned. Complies with ChangePoint Integrated Health, HCIC, ADHS and other governmental rules and regulations in performing such duties.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

E 1. Adhere to personnel policy and comply with agency requirements for ethical

and professional behavior.

E 2. Provide maintenance/janitorial services, and inspections for buildings,

grounds, apartment complex, and vehicles.

E 3. Performs all of the following janitorial duties: Thorough cleaning of all office

space including, but not limited to, cleaning and sanitizing restroom facilities,

trash removal, vacuuming, windows, dusting, sweeping, mopping,

light fixtures, and baseboards as necessary.

E 4. Maintain inventory of all janitorial supplies.

E 5. Understand Hazardous Chemical Policies and update Materials Safety Data

Sheets (MSDS) binder. Follow MSDS when working with all chemicals

E 6. Monitor emergency lighting system, emergency alarms, fire

detection/suppression systems, and ventilation filters.

E 7. Perform snow / ice removal duties including parking lots and sidewalks.

E 8. Follow all infection control procedures and universal precautions for Blood

borne pathogens in performing duties.

E 9. Must participate in quality management and quality improvement activities.

E 10. This position requires positive and active support of the company, the

customer and the co-worker.

SL - E 11. Implement and monitor the Safety Program.

SL - E 12. Initiates Fire Drills per policy

SL - E 13. Performs facility survey and equipment checks as directed to ensure

compliance with standards for accreditation and licensure.

SL - E 14. Perform facility surveillance, notify Safety Officer of issues and monitor

problem resolution as directed.

SL - E 15.Participate in safety education including; orientation, annual review and at ` any time deemed necessary.

SL - E 16.Ensure safety compliance with JCAHO accreditation, federal, state and

local regulations.

17. Attend meetings as requested and/or scheduled.

18. Promote quality and safety to help maintain a safe and pleasant work

environment, follows safety regulations, and actively contributes towards a

safe workplace.

19. Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director, CEO and/or the

Operations Manager.

PRIMARY CONTACTS:

  • Coordinate work orders with Direct Supervisor and frequent interaction with

Holbrook, and Winslow staff.

  • Frequent interaction with vendors and customers.

POSITION REQUISITES:

Qualifications And Experience

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current Arizona Driver's License.
  • Comply with a Drug Free workplace.
  • Documented maintenance experience.
  • Fingerprint Clearance.

Skills/Abilities

Required:

  • Fluent in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Literate.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate work to maintain efficient work flow.
  • Ability to prioritize, handle multiple priorities and make necessary work

scheduling changes.

  • Able to work in crisis oriented work environment and to effectively employ

analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Ability to have broad understanding of the OSHA Regulations.
  • Ability to correct unusual system failures.
  • Ability to work various hours as needed.
  • Ability to comply with budget when ordering supplies

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Physical Requirements

Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, reaching and squatting.

Ability to lift heavy objects greater than 50 lbs. Using appropriate techniques.

Ability to push/pull objects.

Able to hear ordinary conversation and phone communications.

Visual capacity necessary to fulfill responsibilities of job.

Equipment Operation

Able to operate Company vehicles.

Ability to operate snow removal equipment, power tools, lawn mower, weed whacker, shampoo machine, and other janitorial/maintenance equipment in a safe manner.

Environmental Conditions

Ability to work outdoors year round.
